About me

Christine has over 15 years experience treating clients as a CBT Psychotherapist as well as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) Practitioner and EMDR Practitioner. She has developed a wealth of experience treating mild to very severe mental health problems working for NHS mental health community and crisis intervention services, as well as working in general adult psychological services and for the London Fire Brigade.

She has a particular interest in how psychological difficulties are linked to the relationships we form and how patterns of relating and behaving have a significant effect on our identity and well-being. Hence, Christine is particularly skilled in helping clients who struggle with current relationships, who feel they are stuck in the same destructive patterns or who feel lonely and find it difficult to connect. This might also be experienced as depression, low self-esteem, social anxiety, anxiety and anger.

Christine is furthermore a trained therapist in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) - a very effective treatment for singe and complex trauma and a range of other psychological difficulties.

Christine is a fully qualified and accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as well as being accredited with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and EMDR Europe/UK and Ireland.

Christine is passionate about helping people to develop their full potential and to help clients to identify and overcome their difficulties. She is very thoughtful and reflective in her approach and particularly skilled in helping clients uncover deeper issues which might be holding them back. She works mainly in a CBT model, but also draws on other theoretical models such as psychodynamic theories, Compassion Focused Therapy and mindfulness - adapting to every client’s needs and preferences.
Furthermore, Christine is offering Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy - a short-term psychodynamic therapy model.
