About me

I studied medicine at Medical School of Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki and served the Greek Army as a medical officer for 15 years (1996-2011). I completed my radiology training at the 401 General Military Hospital and University Hospital of Athens (2001-2006).
My exclusive NHS and private practice for the last ten years is musculoskeletal imaging and diagnostic/therapeutic interventional procedures, initially as a Musculoskeletal Fellow at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital NHS Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust and since February 2013 as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist in Southampton General Hospital

Areas of interest

Musculoskeletal plain film, ultrasound, CT and MRI scansreporting; CT and MR arthrograms reporting; CT guided bone and soft tissue biopsies; Ultrasound guided diagnostic and therapeutic joint injections; Ultrasound guided joint aspirations; Ultrasound guided soft tissue (soft tissue masses, tendons, cysts, bursa etc) injections, aspirations and biopsies; Fluoroscopic guided diagnostic and therapeutic spine and joint injections.

I have a special interest in sport injuries and therapeutic interventions in sports. I recently completed the FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine and a Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of South Wales. I hold the European Society of Skeletal Radiology Diploma since 2012.
