About me

Mr. Hawkins studied Medicine at The University of Manchester (1996-2001) and trained in the South West, completing his surgical training with an Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. He currently works as a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon at Great Western Hospital in Swindon.

He was one of the first surgeons in the UK to successfully complete the Master of Surgery degree (MS) in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery from the UEA with merit. This degree programme was developed with the ongoing support of The Royal College of Surgeons, The Association of Breast Surgeons (ABS) and BAPRAS. He has a wide range of publications, international presentations and prizes in surgery and has further interests in the training of future surgeons following his time as a lecturer at the University of Bristol during which he obtained his MMEd.

He has expertise in the use of general and plastic surgical techniques for a full range of benign and malignant breast conditions.
