About me

Dr Amy Guppy studied medicine at University College London Medical School, graduating with a first class honours BSc degree in Anatomy and Developmental Biology in 1993, followed by MBBS degrees in 1996. In 2007, she achieved an MD from University of London, in conjunction with The Anthony Nolan Trust, researching in the field of tumour immunology.
She was appointed as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in 2012, specialising in the management of early and advanced breast cancer and acute oncology.
Dr Guppy is the Hillingdon Hospitals Clinical lead for Cancer, advising to Royal Marsden Partners Cancer Vanguard on improving survival, patient experience, quality and safety and recruitment to clinical trials through innovative models of cancer care. She also is the clinical lead for acute oncology and metastatic breast cancer, advising to acute oncology pathway groups and breast cancer clinical forums.
She is an active clinical researcher within the Breast Cancer Trials Unit at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, acting as the local principle investigator on a range of phase II and III clinical trials within the local and national breast cancer trial portfolio.
Dr Guppy also has an interest in cancer survivorship and has led on follow up strategies in conjunction with the National Cancer Survivorship Initiative and Macmillan.
