About me

After his medical graduation in 1992 Dr Joglekar specialised in (MD) General Adult Psychiatry. Following this he worked as a Lecturer Consultant Psychiatrist in Bombay before starting his career in UK. After completing his MRCPsych membership, Dr Joglekar trained in Child & Adolescent Mental Health. Dr Joglekar works as a NHS consultant in one of the home counties outside M25 after having led and developed the Adolescent Team in Hammersmith CAMHS for nearly 10 years.

Dr Joglekar has over 12 years experience in the position of a CAMHS Consultant. Dr Joglekar offers expertise in assessment and treatment of ADHD, psychosis, mood and anxiety disorders as well as eating disorders amongst other conditions in young people. He uses pragmatic talking treatments such as cognitive behaviour therapy with medication as appropriate.

Working in Bombay and over last 13 years in London, two buzzing cosmopolitan cities, has allowed Dr Joglekar to train and work in a variety of cross cultural contexts. He is multi-lingual and fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi. He is also quite familiar with Gujarati.

Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment:

Early-onset psychosis: This may include prodromal presentations, schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorders.

Mood Disorders: Depression and Bipolar Disorders.

Anxiety Syndromes: Generalised Anxiety, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Eating Disorders: Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating problems.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity (ADHD) and ADD.

Emerging Personality Disorders, Adjustment Disorders and Self-harm in context of life events such as parental separation/bullying at school.
