About me

After 6 years as a ODA funded Specialist at an East African teaching hospital I pursued joint career development in Infectious Diseases and Expatriate Health. I founded and directed HealthLink360 (Scottish Charity No 000948) in 1983 providing whole person health care for expatriate volunteers. I majored on Infectious Diseases from 2005 after appointment to a whole time Consultant post at the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit, Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, founding a Travel Clinic in 1993 and running OP clinics in HIV (1985-2014), post travel infections and chronic fatigue. As one of four and then five Consultants I took a full share in the ward care of acute Infectious admissions.
