About me

I went straight into private practice after qualifying at Huddersfield University in 2004, working alongside and gaining mentorship from a leading private Podiatrist in the Leeds area. This enabled me to gain experience. It also gave me a vast knowledge of sports injuries, which has since become my main area of interest.

During this time I administered local anaesthetic as a foot and ankle block for a surgical unit specialising in forefoot surgery.

Throughout my career I have worked alongside and within physio clinics as well as building up my own patient base as JT Podiatry & Chiropody. In 2010 I joined the Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital to provide a weekly podiatry clinic alongside orthopaedic surgeons and physiotherapists.

Whilst completing my diploma in the theory of Podiatric Surgery I worked at the Holme Valley Memorial Hospital for six months, alongside a podiatric surgery team who specialised in forefoot surgery in the NHS.

Attending annual conferences, local society branch meetings and CDP events allows continued development of my skills and new techniques to be learnt which benefits my patients by enabling me to provide up to date treatments.

I now have six clinics in the Leeds & Bradford area providing a wide range of treatments. I have established good relationships with local GP’s enabling quick referrals back into the NHS when required.

We are a modern practice that aims to provide the best possible professional care. In 2017 JT Podiatry & Chiropody became the first practice in West Yorkshire to invest in Swift Microwave Therapy. This is a new ground breaking technology that we offer to treat and remove verruca and warts from both hands and feet.

When I’m not practicing podiatry I can normally be found on the golf course or as I like to call it networking!
