About me

I graduated with one of only 4 honours degrees awarded in my class of over 140 graduates.
I was also the only graduate of my year group to jointly have a first class honours BMedSci degree.

I trained in the North West of England and at the prestigious University of Western Ontario, Canada, with one of the founders of modern Electrophysiology, Professor George Klein.

I am a highly experienced consultant with over eight years consultant experience and each year perform one of the highest volumes of catheter ablation procedures in the UK.

My main interest is ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF). He performs both CRYO ablation and standard radio frequency ablation for AF.
I have published widely in the field of heart rhythm disorders (see publication list).

I also carry out ablation procedures for Supraventricular tachycardias (SVT) and implant both pacemakers and ICDs.
I am the lead for the left atrial appendage occlusion implant program at UHSM.

My goal is to establish a precise diagnosis of your cardiac condition, plan an individual program of treatment that best suits your wishes.
I like to adopt a holistic approach to your care, ensuring that all avenues of treatment are explored including lifestyle, medical and interventional.
I pride myself on good, clear communication skills.
