About me

Miss Sonja Cerovac graduated from The Medical School at Belgrade University in Serbia in1992. From 1995 she continued postgraduate training in the UK completing the South London Plastic Surgery Specialist Rotation working at St George’s, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London and Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.

She undertook a sub-specialist (fellowship) training in aesthetic surgery at the McIndoe Surgical Centre in East Grinstead and hand/wrist surgery at Wrightington Hospital in Wigan and Windsor Hand Clinic. She obtained a postgraduate research degree (Master in Surgical Science) from the University of London in the field of flexor tendon surgery in 1999.

Miss Cerovac has been a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at St George's University Hospital since 2008 where she predominantly works in a busy regional hand unit. Her current practice spans almost the entire spectrum of hand and wrist disorders - from microsurgical reconstruction of soft tissue to wrist arthroscopy and stabilisation of the wrist joint. She trained with plastic and orthopaedic surgery masters and worked across the two specialties. The experience she gained allows her to treat solid bones and delicate hand structures with the same enthusiasm and unique combination of skills.

Miss Cerovac also practices other aspects of plastic surgery, i.e. complex wound and scar management, skin cancer and aesthetic surgery.
