Dr Stella’s private practise has sustained a fine reputation over twelve years Stella is a UKCP , BACP, registered cognitive analytic psychotherapist, accredited both through ACAT and the professional standards authority. Her easily accessible private clinics in north London, (Crouch End N8) and central south London at Keats House, Guy’s Hospital provide a warm welcome with receptionist and waiting facilities. With an impressive portfolio of continuous professional development and client feedback, along with experience from her first career in the music industry, Dr Compton specialises in the treatment of men and women and young people over sixteen years, who struggle with academic pressures or work in high stress environments in business, finance, law, the performing arts, sports and media.
With extensive NHS experience as a clinician, manager and clinical research lead, Stella has developed and researched cognitive analytic music therapy in forensic psychiatric, community and specialist adolescent services. She is a published author and peer reviewer. Stella gained the Doctor of Philosophy in October 2015, and was awarded the Ruskin medal for the most impactful doctoral project in 2016. Both clinic s have disabled access facilities.
