About us

James is an experienced specialist knee surgeon who works in the NHS at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Southmead Hospital, where he is Specialty Director for orthopaedic surgery.

He is a founding partner of Knee Specialists who work out of the Spire Bristol Hospital for private work. All areas of knee treamtent are covered from assessment, imaging, non-operative and surgical intervention.

James is involved in research through the Bristol Knee Group and with Bristol University, where he also teaches medical students. James is the Severn Deanery orthopaedic tutor for Southmead hospital. He teaches registrars, fellows and consultants both nationally and internationally.
