I am an established consultant general and colorectal surgeon, and have been in post since 2005. I work at Manchester University Foundation Trust at the Wythenshawe site. I am a member of the Association of Coloproctology of GB & I and and sit on the executive committee of The Pelvic Floor Society (a subsidary society of the ACPGBI). As well as being a general surgeon dealing with abdominal diseases I specialise in Coloproctology and Pelvic Floor Surgery. I have a busy tertiary referral practice in the NHS and have a private clinic on Monday afternoon at the Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Manchester.

I have an active interest in pelvic floor research and hold an honorary post at the University of Manchester. I co-supervise a post graduate MD student in pelvic floor disease. I have multiple publication in the literature and continue to expand my research portfolio by recruiting to national multicentre trials.
I am also a full time mum, support Irish rugby and am a keen sailor. I have qualified as a Day Skipper and have passed my Yachtmaster Theory Examination. I have ambition to cross an ocean in my lifetime!
