I graduated from the University of Leicester Medical School. My postgraduate training was based in a number of London teaching Hospitals including St Georges, Chelsea & Westminster and Hammersmith Hospitals. My sub speciality interests include Inflammatory bowel disease, therapeutic and capsule endoscopy, as well as Barretts oesophagus and BRAVO PH monitoring.
I also see vast number of patients with functional GI problems such Irritable Bowel Syndrome and functional dyspepsia.

Current consultant position held since 2007. I have been the Clinical Lead of the GI Department for 4 years.
I was awarded the higher MD degree at Imperial College London, for my research on mechanisms of gut repair following injury, such as in Inflammatory Bowel Disease or gastrointestinal injury following the use of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. I have published several original papers in peer reviewed journals and presented several original abstracts in international meetings.
I enjoy long walks and swimming.
I have been awarded the Kingston Trust Research Award, research grants from DDF (Digestive Diseases Foundation) as well as the research award from the European Gastroenterology Foundation for the best abstract and publication.
