I am a full-time (48 hours / week) Consultant Chest Physician and my clinical experience is based on a mixture of elective (typically 5 clinics a week) and emergency (ward based) work. I routinely see patients with various types of acute and chronic lung diseases, commonly asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, sarcoidosis, sleep apnoea and various forms of interstitial lung disease including pulmonary fibrosis (including asbestosis). Bronchoscopy is offered via my NHS service.

I'm regularly asked to present on a diverse range of topics, such as interstitial lung diseases, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and how to communicate in medicine.
More recently, at a 2018 Royal College Symposium, I presented on "Vaping - Friend or Foe?" to a large audience and in 2019 was invited to speak in Edinburgh at the Royal College of Physicians about sarcoidosis.
