- Cataract Full Pathway provider
I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Ramsay Duchy Hospital (Truro) .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.
Please call the Bupa Eye Care team to find out more about and to pre-authorise your treatment on 0345 600 7267.
I graduated in 1992 with an MA honours degree in neurological sciences from Cambridge University and gained my medical degree BM BCH from Oxford Medical School in 1995.
I was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOPhth) in 2006.
I started my ophthalmology career in Taunton, then spent 8 years training in the West of Scotland. There I developed my interest in paediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology and squints and did a clinical fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2004. I have published and lectured on visual processing disorders in brain-damaged children. I am a clinical appraiser for Ramsay Health UK, and have served as College tutor and Regional advisor for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. At Treliske I am lead consultant for the development of the cataract service and am trained as a Coach and Mentor for clinical leaders within the organization.
