About me

Following my qualification in 1999 in Florence (Italy), I trained in Paediatric Gastroenterology at the Meyer Children’s Hospital, Florence and at the Royal Free Hospital in London. During my training I’ve been involved in several research projects on IBD, small bowel enteropathies and Coeliac Disease. I was first appointed Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology in 2007 at the Royal Free Hospital in London. Here I developed an interest in clinical nutrition. After having worked at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital, I finally moved to Addenbrooke’s in April 2010 to lead the Nutrition Service for children. I have an interest in children with feeding problems and have developed an innovative approach for behavioural feeding problems (TREAT programme - Therapy for Reluctant Eaters).

I continue to publish in peer-reviewed journals and lecture at national and international meetings.
