About me

I work as a Consultant Oncoplastic Surgeon and Clinical Lead for Breast Surgery at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Both privately and in the NHS I work in close cooperation with my radiology colleagues to provide a one-stop breast diagnostic service. For those patients with breast cancer I concentrate on providing aesthetic breast conservation surgery and isotope guided minimal axillary dissection where appropriate. I trained as a General Surgeon and worked as a Consultant General, Breast and Endocrine Surgeon at Warrington General before taking my teaching hospital post on the Wirral in my preferred specialty.

I live with my wife and daughters in North Cheshire and enjoy the life our region has to offer. Following my graduation from Manchester I travelled to support my training. I worked as an expedition doctor in the Antarctic, pursued research at Surrey University before completing my surgical education and specialisation in South Yorkshire. My first consultant post was in Warrington and I have progressed to a University Teaching Hospital position where I am also the Clinical Lead for Breast Surgery.

Areas of interest

Oncoplastic breast surgery; sentinel node axillary surgery; primary and delayed breast reconstruction; lipomodelling of the breast.
