For much of this time I have been the Clinical Lead aiming to grow the department. I also visit the Lister, Stevenage, and Addenbrookes, Cambridge.
I have degrees in medicine & psychology from London. I was a visiting student at Harvard. I trained in internal medicine, intensive care and research. I have a research MD. My general & cardiothoracic surgery training was at Guy's, St Thomas', King's, Royal Brompton and London Chest Hospitals.
In 2005-2007, I was at the Toronto General Hospital as senior fellow in general thoracic/lung transplant. This is one of the 'homes of thoracic surgery'. I gained a large experience of innovation and complex cases.
