I have been a Consultant Psychiatrist for 13 years and my field of expertise is General Adult Psychiatry. I worked in the NHS for 10 years until 2017 and since then I have worked solely in the private sector.
Research interests
I was the main author on some research into depression in patients who are on dialysis titled: “The Beck Depression Inventory Requires Modification Before Use In A Haemodialysis Population In The UK” which was published in Nephron Clinical Practice 2008;110:c33-c38.

The research has also been presented in poster format at The Renal Association Conference, Harrogate; The American Society of Nephrology Conference, California; and the Royal College of Psychiatrists Joint General and Rehabilitation and Social Psychiatry Conference, Southampton.
Personal interests
I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog who is an energetic diversion from my professional life. I enjoy running with him most days of the week. I enjoy fine food, both cooking and eating, and socialising with friends. I have an interest in fashion and attend exhibitions of the major fashion houses when I can. I also enjoy attending concerts and supporting local theatre.

I engage in talks to local GPs; and I have also presented to patients of Highlands Surgery in Leigh-On-Sea, as part of their patient participation group; as well as at an Essex-wide Women's Institute meeting.
