About us

Dr Leanne Tidsey is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR Therapist. She has a number of years experience in the assessment and treatment of adults and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This includes several years as a clinical lead for young people presenting with emotional disorders including eating difficulties and deliberate self-harm. She also had a position as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS working with children and adults prior to expanding her time for private practise.

Dr Tidsey delivers specific assessments and therapeutic work for adults and children focussing on a range of difficulties (e.g. eating problems, anxiety, depression, deliberate self-harm, PTSD, OCD).

Dr Tidsey has undertaken post qualification training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, having gained qualification as a Cognitive Therapist in 2008. She is a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist. Dr Tidsey is also qualified in the use of EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) therapy.

Dr Tidsey undertakes assessment and therapy for individuals following trauma, (e.g. road traffic accidents, physical assault, accidents at work/school, and witnessing distressing incidents). This has included work focussing on clients’ return to school/work/ work related activity. Dr Tidsey draws from a range of therapeutic models, including CBT, and systemic models.
