Dr Reece is a Consultant Paediatrician and Medical Educator, working at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Watford General Hospital. He had special responsibility for the Children’s Emergency Department for 10 years. He has a General Paediatric interest and will see and assess babies, children and adolescents with a wide variety of common problems.

• allergies including food allergies (note skin prick tests and facilities for food challenges are not available privately)
• headaches and migraine
• recurrent cough or wheeze
• urinary tract infection

He completed an MSc in Clinical Paediatrics in 2003. He was appointed as Clinical Lecturer at University College London, contributing to research into the molecular genetics of infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis. He is widely published on aspects of clinical paediatrics and education. In 2008 he published an article about the inappropriate use of flat cola in children with gastroenteritis (diarrhoea and vomiting). The paper received world-wide press and media attention.
Ashley lives in Pinner where he is very involved with his local community.
In 2009 Dr Reece was awarded an Excellence in Medical Education award from UCL. He holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer post in the General and Adolescent Paediatric Unit at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has an interest in education and training. In 2017 he completed a Masters in Medical Education graduating with distinction.
