Dr Al-Aloul has been a Consultant Respiratory Physician at the North West Lung Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester since 2005. He practices in all aspects of respiratory medicine. He is the lead lung transplant physician, and has vast experience in diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopy as well as thoracic ultrasound and pleural disease.
He is a member of the cardiothoracic advisory group of NHS Blood and Transplant and chairs the lung allocation working group.
Dr Al-Aloul has acted as primary or co-invetigator on several national clinical trials and plays a leading role in undergraduate medical education as the associate hospital dean.
