I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

Miss Sobha Sivaprasad has extensive training and experience in managing the entire breadth of Medical Retina conditions. Her areas of expertise include Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vein Occlusions, Macular Degeneration and other retinal conditions.
Her busy clinical practice is complemented by her active involvement in several multicenter clinical trials investigating new treatment options in retinal vascular diseases. She has received multi-million pounds in competitive research grant funding and has set up collaborations with many centres around the world. She has over 100 peer-reviewed publications to her credit and has been an invited speaker in several international conferences. She is a member of several prestigious societies including the Macular Society. She is also the Associate Editor of Eye.

She obtained her higher research degree from Cranfield University and King’s College Hospital on the subject of ‘Co-morbidity of age-related macular degeneration and atherosclerosis’ and obtained her Medical Retina Fellowship from Moorfields Eye Hospital. Dr Sivaprasad has active clinical and laboratory research interests in AMD, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular disorders. She oversees several clinical trials in these areas.
She has over 100 peer-reviewed publications to her credit. Dr Sivaprasad is the Retinal Section Editor of two journals and peer reviewer of several ophthalmic journals.
