Overview

About me

After qualifying as an Orthopaedic Surgeon Mr Zulfi Rahimtoola worked in four different international centres of excellence in hand surgery including Barcelona, Paris, Derby and Wrightington. Through his academic research and extensive postgraduate fellowship training he has become an Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon with a comprehensive understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions affecting the hand and wrist.

Internationally he remains an honorary consultant at Leiden University. He is presently faculty member and European advisor to the British Society Instructional Courses Committee (BSSH). He is course director for many international hand and wrist trauma workshops and provides hand fellowship training at his local institute.

He has successfully completed the European Diploma for Hand Surgery in Paris and provides post graduate academic support on the Asian and European continents. He continues to practice and teach hand surgery in London and Reading and is invited as guest faculty and lecturer on many global hand surgery symposia and international society conferences.

Private consultation is offered at St Johns and St Elizabeth Hospital in London and at Circle Hospital in Reading, Berkshire. Mr Rahimtoola also has an NHS practice at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
