About me

I have been practising as a Consultant Rheumatologist in Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust since September 2006.However, my post-graduate training was very broad and led me to achieving dual accreditation in both Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Medicine, including time spent training in DSMRC Headley Court.. Throughout this time, I developed an interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine (SEM), and was awarded a Masters degree in SEM in 2005. I am now part of the University of Bath SEM faculty, where I regularly teach and examine other doctors developing their own SEM skills.
My years as a hospital consultant have allowed me to specialise further within rheumatology , where I now have a wealth of expertise in all areas of the field, but have particular interests in axial spondyloarthrits, both inflammatory and non-inflammatory musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, gout and women's MSK health including osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
