About me

James graduated in 2001 with his BSc(Hons) Podiatry degree from University College London (UCL) and The London Foot Hospital. Since then he has worked in both the private sector and the NHS where he currently holds the post of Advanced Specialist Podiatrist in Musculoskeletal Biomechanics and Paediatrics. In 2004, he set up Ablefeet Ltd with the vision to provide premium podiatry care for all, with his specialisms in children’s foot health and sports injuries, as well as all aspects of routine podiatry. James has continued with further study and in 2018 completed his Masters degree in the Principles of Podiatric Surgery from the University of Brighton, with his dissertation focusing on the role of steroid injections for plantar fasciitis.

James has lectured locally, nationally and internationally for a number of years and is the current vice chair of the Children’s Podiatry Special Advisory Group. This has seen him become one of the leading specialists in the country when it comes to paediatric foot and lower limb health. He has a special interest in hypermobility, paediatric heel pain (Severs disease) and flat feet. As well as lecturing and studying, James is also one of the current Editorial Review Board members for the College of Podiatry journal Podiatry Now.
