About me
Mr Abuchi Okaro is a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon. His special interests are in Upper Gastrointestinal Oncology and Bariatric surgery. He has a weekly private clinic at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. Abuchi was trained in the UK and in Tokyo, Japan.
He works in a busy surgical unit where he performs over 200 upper GI endoscopies, 100 colonoscopies, 75 Lap cholecystectomy, 60 Lap anti-reflux procedures and over 60 major Oesophago-gastric resections per annum. He has a special interest and huge experience in the repair both open and laparoscopic of hernias of all varieties from incisional, inguinal, femoral, umbilical to hiatus and diaphragmatic
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and holds a Masters in Surgery Degree from the University of London. He has widely published scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented lectures in national and international meetings.
