About me
Dr Ravinder Singh has been practicing Paediatrics for more than 30 years. His current NHS post is as at University Hospital of North Midlands, Stoke-on-Trent as a Consultant Paediatrician with special interest in Paediatric Neurology, Epilepsy and Neuro-disability (since 2002). He is also an Honorary Consultant in the Department of Paediatric Neurology at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Dr Singh has vast experience in treating children with neurological disorders, epilepsy, headaches, movement disorders, neuro-genetic conditions and neuro-disabilities.
Dr Singh is a national and international tutor on Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET) run by British Paediatric Neurology Association. He is part of the team that has set up a one-day national training programme on Childhood Headaches (CHaT1) for Consultant Paediatricians and other doctors. CHaT1 is running very successfully all over the country since 2013 with excellent feedback.
Dr Singh was trained and worked as a Paediatrician in India for 14 years in major teaching hospitals and tertiary centres. He was a Reader (Associate Professor) in Paediatrics in the University of Delhi. Five postgraduate MD students completed their thesis under his supervision and co-supervision. He published several articles in medical journals and contributed chapters to books. He was also on the editorial board of official journal of Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
Besides his very busy clinical practice he is maintaining his interest in medical education, research, teaching and Evidence Based Medicine. His personal interests are in music and religion.
