Davina provides evidence-based psychological therapies for individuals and couples. She holds an appointment within the NHS as Principal Psychologist & Clinical Supervisor for West London Mental Health Trust, and runs private therapy practices in London, Bristol and Dorset. She currently offers a range of remote therapy options.
Davina is a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and has completed all stages of training in Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR). She is a registered practitioner with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the Divisions of Clinical, Health and Coaching Psychology and is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS). Davina is listed with the British Psychological Society’s register of Expert Witnesses and specialises in personal injury, trauma, and related disorders, in both adults and children.
Approach and Expertise:
Prior to her private therapy practice, Davina worked for many years as Senior Psychologist and Lead for a London NHS Psychology Service, where she gained extensive experience in assessing and treating clients with a wide range of difficulties relating to depression and anxiety (including Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Low Self Esteem).
She is an experienced clinical supervisor and has taught and supervised Clinical and Counselling Psychologists and CBT Therapists for over 10 years. She has particular expertise in women's health, having previously worked as Specialist Lead Psychologist for the internationally recognised Women's Health Service at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, London.
Davina's therapeutic style is collaborative, enthusiastic and reflective. Her clients have described her as warm, approachable & dedicated. She draws on a range of therapeutic approaches in her work and has completed additional specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Couples Therapy and EMDR.
