About me

I trained as an Adult Psychotherapist following which I furthered my studies at the Tavistock Centre in Groupwork and Consultation to Organisations. I have worked as a psychotherapist, supervisor and organisational consultant in mental health settings in the statutory, voluntary and private sectors for many years.
I currently lead a Psychodyanmic Psychotherpay Team for a secondary care NHS service in East London. In addition to my own caseload of individuals and groups, I provide supervision, consultation and training to psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists. I have specialist training in Mentalisation Based Therapy and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy, both psychotherapy models that have been developed specifically for individuals who suffer with inter personal problems in their personal relationships and in the workplace. I apply these models in my NHS work and also in my private practice as a psychotherapist.

Areas of interest

I have more than 15 years experience working with a variety of psychological and mental health difficulties and practice at a senior level both for the NHS and the private sector. I have a particular interest in working with people who struggle in both their personal and work relationships. I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, bereavement, eating disorders and with those who experience feeling overwhelmed by emotions and life experiences, including the stresses associated with the workplace.
