About me

Dr. Khalid Khan has been a Consultant Cardiologist at the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board since 2005. He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge in 1994 and trained in Newcastle, East Anglia and Leicester, where subsequently as a BHF Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, University of Leicester he developed his interest in cardiovascular medicine. He then completed his specialist training in both Cardiology and General Internal Medicine in Mersey. His principle current specialist interests reside in the management of cardiac arrhythmias, inherited cardiac conditions and sudden cardiac death, Cardiac CT, hypertension, chronic disease management, drug prescribing and innovations in delivery of cardiac services. As Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University, Visiting Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and a Royal College of Physicians Tutor, he is extensively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He also has a particular interest in the quality of care delivered by NHS organisations with a wide experience and expertise in matters of clinical negligence.
