About me

Dr Farquharson is a specialist in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at a large teaching hospital in Manchester managing tertiary referral patients with the most complex clinical conditions. Many of these patients have been turned down for treatment at a number of other centres due to the complexity of their problems. As part of his practice he performs complex EVAR procedures many of which are only performed in a handful of centres worldwide. As an expert in this field he practices cases throughout the U.K and abroad and is the leading Radiologist of this within the Greater Manchester area.

In addition to this Dr Farquharson has extensive experience in performing the most complex peripheral arterial angioplasty and stenting procedures and is the leading local Radiologist as far as the aggressive management of DVT. He performs a whole host of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures.

He has been involved in education and has run national training courses for Surgeons and Radiologists and has a number of publications in international journals and text books.

The patient experience is his major focus and as such he delivers his service in a professional manner but with great personal care.
