About me

Rob was appointed as Consultant Urological Surgeon to Ipswich Hospital in 2005

He attended St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College in London and completed his undergraduate training in 1993. Following basic surgical training, Rob underwent a period of research studying bladder dysfunction in Brighton which led to the award of MSc from University of London.

Subsequently he underwent specialist training in Urology in London and the South-east scheme. This included attachments at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital, London and Brighton University Hospitals, as well as Fellowship training in Australia.
Rob has been Ipswich Urology Cancer lead since 2007 and is currently Co-Chair of Anglian Cancer Network Urology group.
He also has a passion for medical education and is associate Medical Director and Director for Medical Education at Ipswich. He has recently completed an MA in Medical Education.

Robert has interests in all aspects of Adult General Urology including urological cancers. He has specialist interest in treatment of prostate and bladder cancer and also treatment of male and female urinary disorders including infections, bladder pain / interstitial cystitis and incontinence surgery and prostate problems including BPH and Prostatitis. Treatment of Kidney stones. He also manages Erectile dysfunction and performs vasectomy for contraception.
