About me

Dr. Cam Wareham is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon with more than 15 years NHS experience. He holds an NHS post as a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Northampton Healthcare NHS trust and specialises in reconstructive and corrective foot and ankle surgery. He has held the position of an NHS departmental lead previously conducting audit and research to ensure that the department is consistent in providing a high quality and modern foot and ankle service. He has had experience as both a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon in both the NHS and independent sector as well as holding Senior Lecturer in Surgery posts at universities in Durham and London.

He originally qualified from the National School of Podiatric Medicine in New Zealand, and holds degrees in podiatric medicine from the University of Westminster as well as a Doctor of Medical Science degree in Podiatric Surgery from the University of Ulster. He gained his Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery after his surgical training in London and East Anglia and in the north of England as a Registrar. He has had International experience of surgery in New Zealand and as Fellow at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford CT in the USA.

Dr. Wareham provides privately insured and 'self pay' consultations for Foot and Ankle problems, including Lower Limb Musculoskeletal complaints in London and East Anglia. He is the Clinical Director of the London Foot Surgery Center. His purpose being to provide a modern and well evidenced approach to treating foot and ankle problems using the latest diagnostic techniques and treatments. It is this process that allows consistent and successful outcomes and faster recovery times, allowing a swift return to activity.

His approach is open and honest. He uses evidence based treatments with all his patients within comfortable and relaxed surroundings, allowing you to make informed choices about your foot and ankle treatment options.

He has a special interest in surgery to the front of the foot, including Bunions, Hammer toe, and Neuroma pain along with those requiring Forefoot reconstruction, He is equally comfortable with Flat Foot reconstructive surgery and tendon repairs and performs Key Hole Surgery and Ankle Stabilisation for loose or unstable ankles.

Dr. Wareham has previously sat on numerous committees for his own profession as a representative on the Directorate of Podiatric Surgery for the College of Podiatrists, the Department of Health Consultants Committee and the MHRA. He has been a speaker at many events both within the UK and abroad on matters relating to medicine and surgery of the foot.

He has a specialist practice in medicine and surgery of the foot including 2nd opinion and medico legal work.
