About me
Since specialising as Women's Health Physiotherapist in 1986, hundreds of women have benefitted from my breadth of knowledge and matter of fact, holistic approach to solving problems. Clients include professional and non-professional women. I had been featured before in The Observer magazine, Daily Telegraph, and The Independent newspapers on my management of weak pelvic floor muscles using various modern treatment techniques.
Areas of interest
Bladder and bowel dysfunction ( Male & Female) resulting in: Incontinence, Frequency, Urgency, Urge incontinence, Rectal Soiling; constipation; Genital prolapse.
Obstetric problems such as: Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) & other musculo-skeletal pain; postnatal soreness and pelvic floor muscle check.
Methods of treatment include -
Re-education of pelvic floor which include the use of Exercises, EMG biofeedback & Electrical stimulation. Bladder retraining for bladder over-activity.
Pregnancy & postnatal problems - Joint mobilisation, Exercises, Therapeutic ultrasound & Maternity support belts.
Appropriate information leaflets, Prevention of further problems and maintenance care advice are included in all care plan.
