About me

Since qualifying at the Bath School of Physiotherapy in 1975 I have held a variety of posts covering various aspects of physiotherapy within the NHS. I moved to North Devon in 1983 and have had wide experience as Superintendent Physiotherapist in the NHS leading and supporting large teams of physiotherapists across North Devon. This gave me an excellent opportunity to work closely with local GP's, consultants and other professionals in the field.

In 1990 I started my clinic in Northam and since 2008 have work privately full time. Since 2009 I have also been involved with running an assessment programme for the North Devon NHS Clinical Commissioning Group for arthritis-related hip and knee joint problems with a view to best options and management.

As well as practicing general physiotherapy, I have gained specialist knowledge from extensive courses through the years to include:-
Spinal dysfunctions; Whiplash-related disorders, Manipulative Therapy, Sports Injuries, Core Stability & Muscle Imbalance, Bio-mechanics, Strength & Conditioning and various joint-related dysfunctions with a particular interest in hips, knees & shoulders.

Areas of interest

• Back & spinal pain • Hip, knee, shoulder and other joint dysfunctions • Sports injuries • Post-trauma rehabilitation • Whiplash associated disorders • Osteoarthritis management
