About me

I was appointed as Senior Lecturer and Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Sheffield in 1995. I was based at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital with operating lists at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, and also at the Sheffield Childrens Hospital, where I was the Clinical Lead for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
After 22 years as an NHS Consultant I resigned from my post in March 2017 in order to work full time in private oral surgery practice. I work in both private hospital practice and in a private oral surgery clinic.
I carry out the full range of oral surgery procedures for both adult and paediatric patients.
I have two areas of special interest;
The surgical management of patients with facial discrepancies (large/small jaws).
I am also a leading expert in the management of patients with lingual nerve injuries sustained during wisdom tooth removal.
I have published more than 30 research papers in scientific journals.
