As a Consultant Clinical Psychologist I use multiple theoretical orientations, including CBT, IPT, brief psychodynamic psychotherapy and mindfulness orientated interventions. I have nearly 20 years experience of treating adults with emotional difficulties. I have worked in both in-patient and out-patient NHS settings and in private practice. I have extensive experience of working with people who are struggling with both mental health and physical health problems. I have also developed specialist skills in working with high risk sexual behaviour and other compulsive presentations, including problematic drug and alcohol use. I am well versed in providing both long term therapy and brief interventions where the focus may be on stabilisation or returning to a high level of functioning following a difficult life event. I am an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society where I hold Chartered Status and am a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology.
