About me

Qualified for over 25 years, I work in private practice and members of the public come to me for help. I see couples and individuals. Practitioners in the counselling and psychotherapy profession also come for therapy or clinical supervision.

I am a Jungian Analytical Psychotherapist with training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Psychodynamic Counselling and Couples Counselling. I was Consultant to the Counselling Programme at the University of Leicester for six years where I taught and managed the programme up to Diploma level. I have, until recently, had responsibility for psychological assessments in England, Scotland and Wales for a major organisation (2004-2016).

For help with major underlying changes, I offer intensive psychotherapy: two or three times a week for several years. My passion is to help people to become the person they really are. Alternatively I can offer a short-term focussed series of sessions which can be helpful for a specific problem or for 'unsticking' a 'stuck' situation. There are, of course, various positions between these two ends of the spectrum so if you are not sure what is right for you, then this is something we can work out together.
