About me

I have extensive experience of working as a clinical psychologist in adult mental health, including more than 25 years for the NHS and 18 years in private practice. I see people with a wide range of problems, most frequently depression, anxiety disorders and adjustments to trauma and loss.
I offer individual therapy including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) which has a strong emphasis on working together and drawing on each person's unique strengths and resources. I am also trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitisation reprocessing) and mindfulness-based approaches.

Areas of interest

Adult mental health care: depression; anxiety problems (including panic, phobias, generalised anxiety; stress-related difficulties, obsessive compulsive disorders); post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD); post-natal difficulties; self-esteem issues. Individual therapy particularly cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT); eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness approaches.
