About me

I have over twenty years experience of working as a Clinical Psychologist. This includes extensive experience of: working both within the NHS and private practice within multidisciplinary teams; providing consultations to assess the full range of psychological and emotional difficulties; offering short and longer term individual, couple and group therapy and supervising and teaching of trainee clinical psychologists and other mental health professionals.

My general private practice focuses on individuals seeking help with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma (both recent and childhood), eating problems and loss, for example difficulties which develop following a bereavement. I also see individuals and couples who want help with relationship problems. In addition, I have a specialist interest in psychological difficulties linked to fertility, pregnancy, birth and parenthood. I am a clinical director of Facing Parenthood, a specialist psychological service for individuals and couples experiencing ante and post natal difficulties, alongside offering help with emotional difficulties emerging at different stages of parenting. I work extensively with expectant and new mothers and fathers, experienced parents and individuals and couples struggling with fertility or the decision to start a family. I am chartered by the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I adhere to their code of ethics and standards of continuing professional development (CPD).
