About me

I originally trained and worked in the commercial sector in Switzerland, my country of origin: an influence on my continued interest in organisational and occupational issues.
I have lived and worked in England since the late 1970's and started my UK training in clinical psychology in the mid 1980s. I have worked in NHS services with adults with mental health problems and with clients with intellectual disabilities.
Since qualifying as a clinical psychologist I have extended my interest and training in different models of therapy including Cognitive-Behavioural, Acceptance and Commitment and Compassion Focused Therapy methods.
I have a special interest in and have trained in mindfulness-based approaches including the application for physical health and pain problems.
Within the NHS, in my independent practice and through employee assistance programmes, I provide individual therapy for general mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD. I also have a special interest and knowledge in working with clients with Autistic Spectrum / Asperger Disorders.
I am running mindfulness classes and courses in anxiety, depression and stress management.
I am an associate clinical tutor at the University of Surrey and am involved in the training of clinical psychology trainees.
