About us
John has been associated with and treated many sports people and athletes including wasps RFC, Harlequins RFC, the London Broncos and during the Olympics was asked to look after members the Saudi Arabian middle distance running squad. Other associations include working with Civil Service Football Club and Kew and Ham Association FC.
John qualified as a podiatrist in 1988. After qualification he worked in NHS, in a variety of roles including diabetic specialist and podiatrist dermatology.
John set up his private practice in the early 1990's in Lillie Road, Fulham and in 1992 moved to the current location. The practice has many associations and held the contract for HM Wandsworth prison for over five years.
During this time John has nurtured his musculoskeletal aspect of his clinical expertise and in 2010 successfully completed a masters degree in the theory of podiatric surgery; his dissertation compared the foot pressures between runners who heel strikes and those that forefoot strike. He regularly talks/ lectures on this and similar topics regarding running biomechanics.
More recently John has joined the team at the Putney Clinic as sports podiatrist as well as podiatrist within the Staight Practice in South Kensington.
John is able to provide custom prescribed foot orthoses and podiatrist acupuncture and injection therapy for many foot and leg conditions - maintaining his ethos of avoiding surgery whenever possible.
