I qualified as a speech and language therapist (SLT) in 1984, at The School for Disorders in Human Communication, affiliated to UCL London and now based at City University.
Since qualifying as a SLT, I have worked in several large teaching hospitals as an advanced clinical practitioner and in the USA as an Honorary SLT durinr my Travelling Fellowship. I have also worked as a Clinical Researcher for the University of Southampton and in Community NHS posts.
