About me

I have over 25 years experience as a General Practice Psychotherapist, 20 within the NHS and five in private practice. I am psychodynamically trained in both the United States and the UK. Widely experienced in many forms of therapy, I now view myself as an Integrative Therapist matching the best theory to meet the individual's unique needs and issues. The profound experience of loss applies to many things: a relationship, career, health, the belief that life can be surviveable. We can react to loss with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, substance abuse, relationship problems, and a return to earlier childhood loss and trauma. Psychotherapy offers a secure and confidential relationship in which current problems and unhappiness can be explored in the context of one's whole life experience.

I am an accredited member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapy and see both individuals and couples in this capacity.

I am also a qualified Casework Supervisor and take a special interest in supporting health care professionals as well as counsellors and psychotherapists.
