Dr Denis E. Pellerin is Consultant Cardiologist and has more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of adult cardiology.
I trained at Paris VI University and obtained speciality certification as Cardiologist in 1989. I was appointed Consultant Cardiologist and Director of Echocardiography at The Heart Hospital, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, in 2003. The Echo Department at UCLH was EACVI accredited and had National and International recognition as a place to train in new echo techniques and their applications to specialised cardiology populations including inherited cardiovascular diseases. I moved to The Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew’s University Hospital in London in April 2015.
My research work includes publication of major peer reviewed articles in international cardio vascular journals (Pubmed Central database), I have written or contributed to multiple chapters in textbooks, I was awarded 3 major Prizes including the Lion Heart Honorary Prize for innovation in the field of cardiovascular research, and I am invited lecturer and chairperson at major international congresses since 1995. I had the privilege to be invited as visiting Professor at Pittsburgh University Hospital Pennsilvania, at Strasbourg and Paris University Hospitals, and at the Duke University, North Carolina, and was the lecturer of a webinar on the internet.
