About me

Mr Bala qualified from Madras Medical College, India in 1986 and attained Masters degree in general surgery from the Medical University of Madras in 1991. He has been an NHS consultant since 2001 after completing higher surgical training in London and Oxford between 1994 and 2001.
Mr. Bala started working as a Consultant at Solihull and Heartlands Hospitals from 2003 and has been appointed as the Lead Clinician for Breast Surgery at Heart of England NHS Trust from 2009. He offers a full range of surgical procedures for benign and malignant breast disorders. He routinely performs skin sparing mastectomies for patients requiring breast reconstruction, sentinel node biopsies as well as the newer intra operative analysis of sentinel nodes using OSNA technique. In addition to breast surgery Mr. Bala also performs a wide range of general surgery including Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy for gall stones.
