I have been working at King's College Hospital for 22 years. I have wide knowledge of general adult haematology, clinical transfusion medicine, haemopoietic stem cell collection, and therapeutic apheresis.
I teach at postgraduate and undergraduate level. I lecture, nationally and internationally, 3-5 times/year. I am the author of over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals and books. I authored the book Transfusion Medicine : case studies and clinical management (2012).
I am a teacher of the European Haematology Association and the European School of Transfusion Medicine,and examiner for the Royal College of Pathologists. I have received research grants from the National Blood Authority and pharmaceutical industry. I served as WHO adviser and I am a reviewer for several international transfusion medicine and haematology journals.
