About me

I have been a consultant spinal surgeon for the last 15 years. I have been head of the spinal surgery department at the Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Hospital, Oswestry since 2005. I have also been the head of the Scoliosis and Children's deformity department at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool since 2009. After completing my orthopaedic residency training in Liverpool and Oswestry I undertook a fellowship at the Connecticut Medical Centre in Hartford Connecticut, USA. My clinical practice includes treatment of a vast variety of spinal disorders including back pain, spinal deformity, disc herniations, spinal stenosis, trauma and tumours. I am actively involved in undertaking charitable spinal surgery in underprivileged countries. I am an active member of the British Association of Spine Surgeons, the British Scoliosis Society and regularly participate in the scientific programmes at these societies.I am also on international faculty for many spine scientific programmes.
