About me

Mr Alvi began his career in surgery in 1985. In 1992, he became a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons. On completion of his general surgery qualification, he undertook training in plastic surgery in Ireland, Newcastle, Stoke on Trent, Preston and Liverpool and has worked in plastic surgery since 1993.
In 2001, Mr Alvi became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons with the specialty of plastic surgery and was awarded a specialist FRCS (Plast) qualification. As one of the leading plastic surgeons in his field, he recently retired from his position as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon within the NHS. Mr Alvi is also heavily involved in the training and teaching of trainee plastic surgeons at local, national and international levels. He teaches on the Plastic Surgery Core Skills Course at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Mr Alvi specialises in breast cosmetic surgery, fat transfer, liposuction, body contouring, facial rejuvenation, aesthetic surgery and general plastic surgery. He appears on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).
